I wonder if this rubber is more tacky and could generate more spin than H2?

Yeah, it is tackier than H2 if it is in (wow, unintended aliteration!) black.

You will be able to create more spin with H2 if you have more of a forward and throught the ball drive stroke but more spin with Geospin Tacky if you have more of a brush loop and brush action against the ball.

If you have a stroke somewhere in between, you will get more spin with Geospin Tacky............

Hello,

I used to play with the H2 which is less spinny but really much better for close play and top spin.

So I believe Geospin Tacky should be one of the most tacky and most spinny rubbers around...

For me the best playable rubbers remains the Globe 999. (cause you can try a lot a different sponge bundle)

Geospin Tacky IS suitable for looping play. My teammate which is a very good looper(usatt 2000+) loves it on his forehand.
The spin and control are incredible. If you can't generate your own power this rubber won't work for you.

Good to hear some skilled people can loop with it with forehand... what about the backhand loop ?
For me I need softer then...

Cheers,

i bought about 8 sheets of geospin tacky about 3 years ago. at that time I had some weird styles
I used dr. newb pistol short pips on fh and geospin tacky on backhand on MC1

crazy stuff...

it is so slow, ridiculously slow but that is what you want when you go to super super tacky rubber right?

now back then I speed glued the hell out of them and that is what they are made for... the amount of spin on my backhand was insane.. They glue real well

though the tack would disappear quickly. The more I tried to wash them the quicker the tack came off so Invented a new way to keep them at the optimum...

go to coles or any dam place like a newsagency and buy some of that contact wrapping seethough sticky stuff you use to cover your textbooks. I cut the shapes out to fit the blade and before I played serious comp Id press the sheet on pull off all the rubbish and dust.

I have rethought using it to develop a very service orientated game, but would never use it on bh again since now I use t64 on bh because I punch drive 50% loop 50%

I have just been trying hurricane 2 and it was barely tacky _ brand new out of the packet black.....

so after trying it for a few sessions Ive given it up... anyone want it?

Boz do you confirm it's difficult to loop the backhand with the Geospin ?
Do you remind if this rubber has an high throw or low ?

Thanks.

My backhand can pretty much pick up any rubber and play with it, its my dam forehand that is terrible and Im looking for something again... either of the 2 tenergies suits my bh perfectly

I will stick with my current setup until I can find another.

t05 fh
t64 bh
ishlion

As for remembering using geospin - its been a while. I do remember when I used it as you can imagine I was even more than now a very backhanded player. And people often came up to me to see what the rubber I was using because they couldnt believe the spin.

Anyway I might just buy a sheet of geo to retry for my inconsistant fh. or I was thinking 729 fx blue sponge...

I totally agree on control in loops... they are a little slow, but I can think of no other rubber where I got the feeling i could simply loop the ball anywhere...

I agree completely. It's amazing how easy you can loop and place the ball easily with a lot of spin on it.
