Last night at Inter club our head coach, Jong Eub Han brought along his friend Kim Taek Soo. Former world number 3, top ten player for over 10 years. He came for a meet and greet, got a photo with him to prove I am not a big fat liar. He had a little hit with somebody else bat, but is coming back on Monday to join our training squad

So I am looking forward to doing some training with him.

Who jealous?

Email me the photo if you want to display... To do it yourswelf you just need to upload it to a server somewhere, or use photobucket or something like that.... then you just post the url to the picture and enclode it with the Img brackets..

I can say he is a really nice guy, very humble and speaks good English. We talked about him winning the world double event ( I think in 1994 ) with Yoo Nam Kyu and they got $16,000 US each and how Yoo Nam Kyu lost lots at the casino that next day. Also how he beat Waldner many times.

I am also keen to see what he does at training, will he just join in and let the coach run the session or will he take over or will he spend some time with each of us. I hope not too many people show up or as the lowest player I will have to stand down.

He is a keen wine drinker so I have got a couple of good NZ wines to give him on Monday.

I will see if I can get some video plus some stills for you all.

A real treat my friend. One of these days, I will also end up in Asia and have my fun as well. Soak it in, enjoy. Even internationally TT community is so small. If we all played tennis, would it be likely that we meet Conner, Borg, Sampras, mcEnroe, Lendle, Laver, Agassi, Federer, Nadal? Probably not.

Status - Out of Business Janitor/Babysitter

I got to watch him play at the World Team Champs when it came here - I think it was 2016. Gionis was there too. The real drama was with the Women's Teams. Germany beat Japan in the group matches but the Japanese beat them in the semifinals, IIRC.
