I'm a beginner, decided the Primorac will be my first custom paddle, however don't quiet know what kind of rubber and size for it. I've been playing TT since September, haven't quiet developed a style but I do know I like to chop and smash lol...

Yeah, we wasted hours collectively responding over there --- not to mention the dozens of responses mytabletennis forum. Sheesh -- don't you have enough suggestions already. :headbang:

I assume that those Stiga Performance rackets are the same kind we have a few of in our school, with Stiga "Magic" rubber.

Rest assured, ANY of the equipment suggestions you got in your previous thread will make a good bat, and ANY of the possible setups from that equipment will feel fast compared to those Stigas. You may expect a temporary recession until you learn to handle incoming spin, which the dampening sponge and relatively low friction of Magic rubber has helped you with. (Proper competition bats conserve energy in your stroke much better than those starter bats. That kind of energy conservation is a double edged sword. You will learn to wield it.)

Using long pimples may give you cheap points against your workmates. If your ambition is to dominate the odd social game, pimples may work for you. If your ambition is to play regular competitions, learn the strokes properly using regular inverted rubber. That way you will learn how to create and use spin, and how to handle the spin coming from your opponent.
