Yes thanks Haggisv could you add the pix I sent you. I hope they will add more depth to this review and thanks a lot for shrinking them from the original size :alien:

Pictures added... nice dome isn't it?

Dome? That's not dome, that's DISH!! When we used to speedglue, the sponge expanded so the sponge side would bow out. When you mounted it to a flat blade, you'd put the topsheet in tension. This would supposedly add speed to the rubber (and was part of the speedglue effect). This is the opposite of that. Here when you mount the sheet, you'd be COMPRESSING the topsheet and possibly making it slower. I see this a lot in Palio rubber - Yasaka ZAP and CJ8000 in particular (the Dragons tend to be flat). I had a couple of sheets so bad I ended up putting a crease in the topsheet when I mounted it on the blade. I had to use Seamoon to flatten out those sheets before I could mount them properly.

What causes this? Information I got on the Yinhe website (see the Yin-he catalog thread) says that, after they mold/expand/vulcanize the sponge cakes, they have to be left on the shelf for some time (weeks? months?) to age. Like Gouda. When it ages it shrinks. And when it's shrunk all it's ever going to shrink (Extra Belegen? Oud? :-P ), only then is it sliced to thickness and glued to a topsheet. Dish seems to be a sign of hasty assembly - they didn't leave enough time for the sponge to age properly before gluing it to the topsheet. It was still going to shrink after that. I think it's sign of bad quality.
