Excellent point at 2:35.

Scary chopping to full attack transition! Also have to watch out for that nasty twiddle too. :?

Yeah - this was back when I was using Neos Tacky in max thickness on a Timo Boll Spirit - I was also around the 95kg mark - which is pretty evident too! But I had to be more aggressive back then - it was only a few months after my chemo and radiotherapy, and I had no aerobic fitness to speak of - I needed to have short points! :D

Great video of some of our top Australian players,

thanks for putting it on DTop.

I was really impressed with the intense rallies Miao Miao had with Jiang Fang Lay

MM you missed your chance to see them live when you were down here last, that weekend I sat court side @ the Croydon open and watched these 2 ladies slug it out. Most rallies were of a similar fast and rapid fire nature.

And thanks for the vid DTop always love looking at your clips.
I will have to come over to you next time you are in Vic for a tournament and personally say hello, I saw you at the last Oz open but you were looking very intense running around organizing your taping the finals.

Yeah - definitely come up and say hi! I'm usually running around a bit on finals day to make sure the batteries are charged etc - though this year was easier with the Hard Disk camera instead of having to worry about changing tapes. And of course I try to get a few photos at the same time!

Anyway, I still have 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and the 2008 Aus Closed to possibly do similar things with. And I still have a "Fast and Furious Forehands", "Big Bad Backhands", "Sick Services", and "Extraordinary Edges" from 2004 to go!

My connection was stuffing up so I couldn't watch it all the way through :(
Where do you get all your game play footage from?

Oh ok very nice :)
I've had to do a bit myself lately for a documentary I'm doing for school and I found it pretty embarrassing standing there with my camera and having to go and ask the players for permission etc. lol

I record it when I play the Aussie Open each year - quite often I'll just set up the camera and leave it there while I go and play a match on another table - which is why every now and again I'll come home to find the camera has been bumped and is only getting half the table!

I was a bit embarrassed/nervous the first year doing the videoing - I wasn't sure if the other players would mind. But 5 years later everybody is used to me I guess - nobody seems to even raise an eyebrow these day - and I get requests for videos and photos fairly often too!

Greg
