Hi Ilovetabletennis,

Many TT videos seem to have been deleted from youtube in the last month so it is getting harder to find things that have been floating around for years.

If you have not already tried this could I suggest you look/download some of the excellent individual player training videos prepared by companies like Butterfly etc. I know I have seen and studied Boll, Schlager, Karenga, Maze, Persson, Kong, Samsonov and many others. These videos have reasonably detailed sections where the feature player shows some of their serves in good detail. (many are not in English)

I also know that some people have put just the serving section of these videos on youtube etc so try a search by player and service topic, I am sure you have tried and seen these before but maybe others have not here is just 2 examples;
Shlager http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=PD02s8uTSzw
Boll http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=8u5_QnsIaZI&feature=related

Have you tried searching some of the TT videos sites especially under their training categories. eg Martinspin.

Here is two compilations with some good slow motion views. Hope you can pick something up from them.
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=9k3y3RVIod8
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=wH4YiZ3WSLg

And here are some unorthodox ones to diversify the arsenal:
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=47xO1TxUr8I
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=xCy4IpVWISk (Part 1 of 4, check out Kenta Matsudairas serves. Good game too)

This guy has some great tutorial videos on serves.
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=kmQDjFfxrGM
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=sEhLzWUvSOA

You may think that they are somewhat flawed, but that doesn't matter. View them for the principle, idea and inspiration, pick the ones that suit you and adjust them to your needs.

Good luck :)

OH, I trust you have seen the Chinese article on service that Gekogark translated?

This might be some use if you haven't already seen it. It shows a few different serves.

Juan King Carlos thanks for all your serving tips they are great,
I have tried to incorporate some tip bits I have picked up from watching them especially the speed of your movements.

For anyone is looking to add some variety and different actions to their serves you could take a quickly look at these clips, unfortunately they are in Italian but the there is enough hand waving and gestures for you to get the idea. ( I'm Italian so I can say that)
I think I heard this guys is/was a highly ranked veteran in Italy???

there are more clips of the same topic on the general youtube page associated with these clips

Hi Guys

I just remember I had these small but detailed short clips showing Gao Yue's heavy backspin & no spin serve variations with similar actions. These have been slowed down but at full speed the differences are hard to pick up.

Backspin

No spin

Sorry the clips are back wards and Gao Yue is left handed but these clips were produced by someone else.
