Did 563 and C7 on 1.0mm Globe 40* sponges.

Donic Vario Clean. I do believe it'll work for pretty much any preferred rubber adhesive, though.

That glue does seem to work really well... not so sure others are as easy to use...

Oh yeah -- while it's relatively easy to remove from certain sponges and blades, it's not really easy to dislodge the topsheet from the sponge, especially if you used one of those soft, easily torn sponges.

I haven't tried ironing, however.

Yes.

I'm not sure if the National topsheet is different from the standard topsheet which is common;

I'm dislodged a lot of National topsheets in the past, mostly due to overgluing. But I think it's possible with the iron to quickly dislodge one.

I guess I would recommend using contact cement for making inverted -- it provides a stronger bond than regular rubber cement, but might not be as flexible as a result.

I haven't tried making inverted yet, so I have no clue as of now on which glue to use.

According to Globe the 999 nat topsheets are the same as the normal ones, but I don't think they are...

Contact cement is probably not a good idea...yuo don't want the glue to dry hard, it will affect the feel.

I've glued quite a few inverted just with rubber cement, no that hard at all... I reckon it will work quite well using Yuzuki's method...

Only hard thing is putting glue on the tips... you can do this by putting glue on the table, and dipping the pips of the inverted in there... After that it's the same...

I have used "Contact cement" to repair tents and even make a tent and it remains flexible. Maybe not as flexible as rubber cement but close.
Used to put sponge and topsheet togather, it would be permenant. :D
Brand was Weldwood.

Hmm, there's haggisv's recommendation -- try to get rubber cement rather than contact cement.

Personally I'll try the Donic Vario Clean (still), because I still have around half a bottle. :D

Not anytime soon though, I have a hard time acquiring sponges which cater to my taste.

I might want to try a Globe 999 topsheet on one of faster sponges in 40-42* though.

Rubber cement is basically the same as VOC based TT glue... so it's unfortunately banned :( :( :( Art supply stores sell it... I've never found it in any of the hardware stores...
